Wavelength (optical)

Wavelength is suitable for organisations that already have their own data portals in place.

It's very popular with large organisations, councils and government departments that simply require point-to-point connectivity on fibre optics.

We offer two Wavelength services and a Dark Fibre* option:

  • 1Gbps Wavelength – dedicated point-to-point capacity presented at each customer location. Multiple 1Gbps wavelengths can be provided between locations
  • 10Gbps Wavelength – very high capacity point-to-point wavelength service.

NBN

We're an approved Retail Service Provider (RSP) for National Broadband Network (nbn) services including FTTx and Hybrid-Fibre Coaxial services, Enterprise Ethernet, Fixed Wireless and Satellite (SkyMusterTM) services.

We utilise nbn infrastructure to enable connections to government agencies, councils and businesses. As an RSP for nbn services, we're able to leverage the existing nbn infrastructure to extend the Yurika network to our customers to provide efficient and cost-effective connectivity across Queensland or Australia wide.

nbn infrastructure can be used to provide Yurika services such as internet, line and IP VPN. Where required, Yurika works with nbn and our Customers to provision nbn fibre to the premises (FTTP) conversions, providing additional capacity and reliability across nbn and Yurika networks.

IP VPN

Our IP VPN product is a fully-meshed, Layer-3 product that provides ‘any-to-any’ connectivity over geographically diverse locations.

It uses industry-standard, Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) that allows a variety of IP-based devices to connect and communicate securely and seamlessly.

The benefit is that your network is extended to any number of locations required, acting as a logical ‘network cloud’ rather than multiple point-to-point locations. It can be straightforward to expand the network and add sites without disruption to other locations.

Our IP VPN service is available over a range of different access types depending on your location, the required bandwidth, geographic coverage and budget, including:

  • Fibre
  • Radio / Microwave
  • Fixed Wireless
  • External 3G / 4G and DSL

Cloud connection

Direct Cloud connectivity is a way of connecting to external Cloud providers in a dedicated manner, as opposed to connecting over the internet. This provides fast and stable connections to external Cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.

A direct connection method will maximize your Cloud experience, whether you use hosted email, document, storage, backup or application systems. Direct Cloud connection services are also scalable to suit both hybrid environments and Cloud only environments.

Whichever product mix you require, our Cloud Connection service can provide the optimum combination of speed, reliability and scalability.

Our Cloud Connection service can offer you:

  • Private and dedicated connectivity to the platform of your choice
  • Improved application performance, by establishing a more direct and secure path than via public internet services
  • Flexibility with workloads – move your environment to the Cloud service most suited to your business needs
  • Integration with your network services – we manage our network directly, so we will work with you to find the right mix of connectivity to suit your needs
  • More efficient bandwidth usage – direct Cloud connection services can reduce your internet traffic, especially for data-heavy enterprise applications, potentially saving costs
  • Potentially lower costs - some Cloud service providers charge different download rates depending upon connectivity. For example, direct connections incur lower AWS download costs when compared with a with public internet access costs (as charged by AWS).
