FAQs
How do I know who my electricity provider is?
You can find your electricity provider by checking a recent electricity bill which should have the provider’s name and contact information. If you don’t have access to a bill, your property manager can usually inform you of your current provider based on your address. We are not able to provide this information to you.
How will I recognise a technician?
Our team will carry official identification with them when performing metering services for Yurika.
How can I help with a safe meter read / installation?
Providing clear and safe access to your meter will help our team perform faster installations and maintenance on your meters. Keep shrubs trimmed, ensure your dogs are kept inside or behind a secure fence even if they are well behaved, and leave the meter box free and clear of any obstructions. If we are not able to safely perform a meter service, we will leave a card at your property.
Who can I contact for more information?
For further information or to report an issue with your meter, please contact your electricity provider directly. Your provider is responsible for customer service, billing enquiries, and addressing any concerns related to your metering service.
Smart meters are key in modernising the Australian electricity grid and improve service reliability. They provide more accurate billing, near real time usage data, and the ability to identify and address outages. These upgrades are crucial to managing our national energy system, supporting the integration of renewable energy, and providing customers with the best possible service.
Can I refuse a smart meter installation?
If you do not want a new meter, you have the right to refuse one if your meter is still in working order. However, if your old meter is faulty or has reached the end of its life, it must be replaced with a smart meter.
