Yurika has launched a new Sovereign Cloud Virtualisation Service, giving organisations a secure and practical way to run virtual machine workloads entirely within Australian borders.

Powered by RackCorp, the service enables customers to deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using sovereign Australian data centres, connected directly via Yurika’s telecommunications network. This brings cloud infrastructure and connectivity together in a single, integrated offering, with clear accountability for data, operations and performance.

Customers can deploy virtual machines across 11 data centres in seven Australian cities, supporting single-site, multi-site and hybrid configurations. This flexibility allows organisations to modernise virtualisation environments without managing physical hardware or relying on offshore public cloud platforms.

Through Yurika’s OneStack portal, customers can centrally manage compute, storage, databases and networking resources. Role‑based access enables secure collaboration across operations, security and partner teams, reducing administrative complexity and the need for multiple management tools.

Designed for regulated and critical environments

The service is suited to government agencies, utilities, mining, financial services organisations and managed service providers seeking to modernise legacy virtualisation platforms. Workloads remain visible, compliant and hosted within Australia, supporting regulatory requirements and data sovereignty obligations.

Common use cases include supporting operational technology and field environments, refreshing ageing data centre infrastructure, and enabling shared services across multiple teams with controlled access.

Transparent costs and low‑risk adoption

The usage‑based pricing model offers more than 50 per cent savings compared with traditional VMware virtualisation licensing and can be more cost‑effective than equivalent hyperscaler consumption. Customers pay monthly for the resources they use, with no per‑core licensing constraints and greater protection from unexpected cost increases.

Yurika Telecoms provides low‑risk entry options, including infrastructure assessments, proof‑of‑concept trials and hybrid solutions that connect on‑premises systems with cloud resources. Existing Yurika customers can extend their current connectivity into managed cloud environments, enabling workload migration with minimal disruption.

Tony Riley, General Manager Yurika Telecoms and Digital, said many organisations are reassessing how they host virtual machines.

“Rising software renewal costs, power constraints and the effort required to maintain infrastructure are driving change. This service helps customers modernise virtual machine environments in a way that is transparent, secure and directly connected to our networks.

It extends the trusted relationships we already have with customers into managed cloud services.”

Stephen Dendtler, RackCorp Chief Technology Officer, said the service supports public sector organisations preparing for new policy requirements.

“With the Whole‑of‑Government Cloud Computing Policy coming into effect from July 2026, agencies need a clear and achievable transition path.

RackCorp manages the cloud platform and compliance complexity, while Yurika delivers integrated connectivity and local support.

Together, this provides a sovereign cloud service that is simple to adopt and operate.”

The Sovereign Cloud Virtualisation Service offers organisations a practical alternative to traditional virtualisation models, combining cost certainty, data sovereignty and operational simplicity.
