Yurika partners with Iberdrola Australia on solar farm and battery
The Yurika team is delighted to have commenced work on Broadsound Solar Farm and Battery in collaboration with world-leading renewable energy company Iberdrola Australia.
Broadsound Solar Farm is a 376MW (dc) facility located in central Queensland’s Clarke Creek. Yurika is excited to partner with Iberdrola Australia to complete the substation EPC works.
Our specialty is understanding the relationship between solar PV and electrical infrastructure, and its connection to transmission or distribution networks. At Broadsound Solar Farm, Yurika’s works include the design and construction of a 275/33kV multiple bay substation, control buildings, and harmonic filter bays, as well as 275kV overhead powerlines, civil works, SCADA systems and more.
We’ll supply the transformers and switchgear and ensure the testing and integration of the substation into the National Electricity Market via a 275kV overhead powerline that will connect to the existing Powerlink Broadsound substation.
Once complete, the site will have approximately 645,000 solar modules and be capable of supplying enough electricity to power the equivalent of approximately 145,000 homes.
